Research The Groningen Research Institute for the Study of Culture (ICOG) Education

ICOG is home to around 130 PhD candidates, who are all associate members of the institute. Through their role in the research centres and groups, and through their research activities and publications, PhD students form an important part of ICOG’s research community.

PhD positions and guidelines for applications and an overview of funding programs may be found on the PhD positions pages of the Graduate School for the Humanities. ICOG also welcomes external PhDs who bring their own funding. They should similarly apply via the guidelines for external PhDs.
