Our underlying vision is that:

  1. Fundamental curiosity driven research expands our knowledge of human behavior and obtains societal relevance by providing a foundation for applied psychological research.
  2. Application and fundamental scientific progress mutually reinforce each other, making this interaction pivotal to psychological science.
  3. Truly exciting innovations tend to emerge bottom-up through collaborations among intelligent, creative and focused researchers within the entire academy.
