Call for submissions

Both PhD candidates and Research Master students of the Faculty of Arts are welcome to submit a proposal. Because of the wide range of backgrounds and research areas in the audience, the symposium gives an opportunity to discover what research is happening in our faculty and to share your research with people from other disciplines. Read below for detailed instructions.

Submit as PhD Candidate

Any PhD candidate can present at the event. Candidates can submit a proposal for:

  • 15-minute presentation about your research. This is an opportunity to receive input from researchers who come from different backgrounds and have different perspectives!
  • 3-minute pitch on the life of a PhD researcher. For example, a new methodology you have tested that could be interesting to others, outreach projects you have worked on, your professional development as an early-career researcher, or even things you wish you had done differently. Basically, anything that other PhD Candidates could learn from!

Submit as Research Master Student

ReMa students are welcome to present a 3-minute pitch as practice for a PhD grant proposal or a PhD job interview.

As ReMa student you are also free to attend as an audience member. Please note that if you would like to receive ECTS for participation in the conference, you must arrange for credits with the director of your study programme.

Attend without presenting

If you don't want to present in the symposium but would still like to attend the event, you can already register through the form below.
