Research Globalisation Studies Groningen (GSG) Research Groups Youth, Education and Work (YEW)

About us

In the Youth, Education and Work (YEW) network we connect globally. Many researchers, both academic and practitioners in the field, work (together) on the development of relevant skills in youth education to enhance their employability.

Today’s labour market presents many opportunities but also challenges and obstacles that need different skill sets to handle effectively.
Within YEW we share the believe that lifelong learning and including stakeholders in educational developments is key. Stakeholders can provide input embedded in local and practical knowledge, as well as create valuable links between the world of learning and the world of labour. YEW, part of the global academic society, guarantees high academic standards throughout all its activities, connecting research(output) to practice, benefitting knowledge institutions and educational development in general, as well as local communities and youth in particular, not forgetting the labourmarket.

“A community of inquiry that transcends traditional knowledge institutions and that collaboratively produces contextualized knowledge & solid solutions for the inclusion of youth in education and work”
