The University of Groningen, alongside its partners, is glad to announce the upcoming workshop on EU sanctions that will be held in Groningen, The Netherlands from 24 to 26 November 2022.

This will be an occasion to establish a newly created network of experts on sanctions from different countries willing to share their expertise on the topic and to explore different viewpoints from their colleagues. Many sanctions’ aspects will be discussed, ranging from agenda setting, policy formulation, evaluation, to adoption and implementation, to end with comments on the evaluation of EU sanctions. Experts from different research backgrounds like law, political science, etc. will join together in a refreshing format that allows to enhance the multidisciplinary discussions on EU sanctions.

For three days, around 37 experts from different countries will engage with each other presenting their papers in a hybrid format. They will discuss the most recent findings and afterthoughts on EU sanctions and their effects from different perspectives during a dynamic exchange of ideas.

This is an invitation-only event, and the call for papers is closed. If you are interested to get involved in future events of Network on Sanctions, please write to us via: illicittrade rug.nl
