CogniGron's startup IMChip featured in DVHN newspaper
Last month, CogniGron's startup IMChip was featured in the northern dutch newspaper Dagblad van het Noorden!
In this article, IMChip co-founder Ruben Hamming-Green, explains how they're working towards developing computer chips that work more like the human brain. Instead of rigid, energy-hungry architectures, these chips are inspired by neuromorphic computing, where processing and memory are tightly intertwined, just like neurons and synapses in our brains.
Why does this matter? As AI models grow ever larger, traditional silicon is hitting limits in speed, scalability, and energy efficiency. Brain-inspired hardware offers a radically different path forward: faster decisions, lower power consumption, and smarter computing at the edge.
IMChip’s work shows that cutting-edge chip innovation doesn’t have to come from Big Tech hubs alone. Sometimes, the future of computing is being shaped a little closer to home — and a little closer to biology.
