Ranjita Bose promoted to full professor at ENTEG

We are very proud to announce the promotion of prof. dr. Ranjita Bose to Full Professor in Polymer Engineering at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, University of Groningen. The research of Prof Bose extends the research activities of the Product Technology group of ENTEG and is centered around engineering of sustainable polymers.
Ranjita K. Bose was born in Kolkata (India). She obtained a bachelors in chemical engineering from Gujarat University (India) in 2006. She completed her Ph.D. in chemical vapor deposition of polymers in 2011 from Drexel University (USA). From 2012 to 2017 she did postdoctoral research on self-healing polymers in the Delft University of Technology. In 2017, she was appointed as an assistant professor at the University of Groningen, and promoted to associate professor in 2022. Since 2023, she has been the programme director of the BSc Chemical Engineering. She is a passionate teacher and finds great satisfaction in supervising and mentoring her team of ~10 PhD and MSc students. Her expertise is in polymer engineering, solvent-free processes, sustainable coatings and smart polymers. She has published 80+ peer-reviewed articles and holds 1 patent.
