Laurens Polgar wins Best GEC PhD Thesis Award
During the Annual Scientific Meeting of the Groningen Engineering Center (GEC) Laurens Polgar, from the Product Technology group of ENTEG, was awarded with the ’Best GEC PhD Thesis Award’ for his dissertation ‘Thermoreversible cross-linking of rubber: new approaches towards an old problem’ (supervisors: Prof. dr. F. Picchioni and Prof. dr. M. van Duin).
The jury told Laurens that he received this award because his dissertation treated a solution for a very large societal problem based on excellent chemical engineering research which certainly will inspire definitive solutions for the waste rubber problem. The research was very innovative and had an impressive scientific output which already is very well cited. Read Polgar's dissertation
