Heeres joins sustainable healthcare initiative, Care2Change
Prof Erik Heeres is involved in the Care2Change project, a significant initiative focused on sustainable healthcare in the Northern Netherlands. This project, funded by a consortium including the Northern Netherlands Alliance (SNN), has received a total of 6 million euros to promote sustainable practices in healthcare.
Heeres, leading the Green Chemical Reaction Engineering research group, is a key participant in this project. His team will focus on recycling plastic waste from hospitals using advanced pyrolysis technology, contributing to the project's goals of reducing pollution and enhancing sustainability.
