Elisabeth Wilhelm promoted to associate professor at ENTEG

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Elisabeth Wilhelm to Associate Professor. This well-deserved recognition highlights her outstanding contributions to the field of mechanical engineering, signal processing, and human-robot interaction.
Career overview
Dr. Wilhelm earned her PhD in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. She further expanded her expertise as a postdoctoral researcher at the Human Robotics Group at Imperial College London (2015–2016) and the Sensory-Motor Systems Lab at ETH Zurich (2016–2020). Since joining ENTEG in September 2020 as an Assistant Professor, she has been a driving force in advancing research at the intersection of artificial intelligence, wearable technology, and personalized healthcare solutions.
Innovative research for personalized healthcare
Together with her team, Dr. Wilhelm explores how advanced signal processing and AI can enhance user interactions with healthcare apps, serious games, and medical robots. Her work focuses on developing real-time algorithms that operate efficiently on hardware with limited computational power. A key challenge she addresses is how to manage temporal dependencies and person-specific variations in data collected from wearable and nearable sensors—paving the way for more adaptive and responsive technologies.
We congratulate Elsiabeth Wilhelm on her promotion and look forward to her continued impact in research and education.
