Charissa Roossien and Bahar Haghighat from ENTEG join Young Academy Groningen

17 April 2026

Our colleagues Charissa Roossien and Bahar Haghighat have been selected as new members of the Young Academy Groningen (YAG). They are part of a group of seven talented early-career researchers from the University of Groningen and UMCG who will join YAG this year.

YAG is all about bringing together passionate researchers who want to make a difference in science and society. For the next five years, Charissa and Bahar will work on exciting projects—think science policy, interdisciplinary collaboration, public engagement, and diversity and inclusion. Their official welcome will happen in September 2026.

A huge congratulations to Charissa and Bahar! We’re excited to see the impact they’ll make at YAG and beyond.
