Anastasiia Krushynska receives Gratama funding for essential engineering equipment

14 May 2025

We are pleased to share that Prof. Anastasiia Krushynska has been awarded a €25,000 grant from the Gratama Foundation to support the purchase of equipement for education. This high-quality, safe, and user-friendly system is a crucial addition to the engineering infrastructure at the University of Groningen.

The new equipment will enhance practical education and research activities for students in Mechanical Engineering (ME), Industrial Engineering and Management (IEM), and Biomedical Engineering (BME). It will be used both in regular course modules and in individual BSc and MSc research projects. With the new equipment, students will gain hands-on experience in mechanical material characterization, learning to estimate key mechanical properties of materials and functional components; skills essential for future engineers and researchers.

This investment not only supports our engineering education but also helps to strengthen collaboration with (regional) technology companies.
