Daniele Parisi promoted to associate professor at ENTEG

We are pleased to announce the promotion of Dr. Daniele Parisi to Associate Professor in Rheology of Complex Polymeric Systems at the University of Groningen.
Daniele is part of the Product Technology group within ENTEG. His research focuses on understanding how molecular interactions, material structure and processing determine the flow behaviour and ultimate performance of complex polymeric materials.
By combining polymer physics, rheology and advanced structural characterization, Daniele and his team aim to establish quantitative structure–processing–property relationships that can guide the rational design of functional materials. His research spans sustainable and bio-based polymers, charged soft matter, polymer processing and morphology, and dynamic polymer networks.
A central element of his research is the use of rheology not only to characterize materials, but also as a tool to uncover the molecular and physical mechanisms that govern their behaviour. In this way, his work bridges fundamental soft-matter and polymer physics with materials engineering and applications in areas such as circular plastics, biomedical materials and advanced manufacturing.
Within ENTEG and the University of Groningen, Daniele's research contributes to connecting expertise in polymer chemistry, soft matter, materials science and processing, while building collaborations with academic and industrial partners in the Netherlands and internationally.
Congratulations, Daniele, on this well-deserved next step in your academic career!
