Recent Events

  • Spring 2023: Publication special issue Asia-Europe Journal (AEJ) on EU-China Economic Diplomacy (coordinated by University of Groningen)
  • Spring 2023: Fudan students of the October 2022 class defend the findings of their research papers in front of a jury. The student with the best result for his/her paper (including the oral presentation gains a 6-month scholarship for study in Groningen during the first semester 2023-2024.
  • Summer 2023: visit Prof. Jan van der Harst to Beijing on behalf of Horizon Europe project ‘Upgrading Independent Knowledge on Contemporary China in Europe’, WP 2: Trade & Economy.  
  • October 2023: Workshop ‘Market access to China after the demise of CAI’, Groningen, organized within the framework of the Horizon Europe project (see above).
  • October/November 2023: Intensive course on the theme ‘The Netherlands, the European Union and the Politics/Economics of EU-China Relations’, organized for Fudan students, School of Economics, taught by professors from University of Groningen.
  • November 2023: Workshop at Fudan University on the current state of EU-China relations, in the presence of Chinese and European scholars.
