CLCG Conference Grants
Note that researchers with external research projects (e.g., NWO and ERC projects) should first use up their own bench fees in those projects completely, before applying for a travel or conference grant from CLCG. Note also that researchers with a PGB (‘persoonsgebonden budget’) should first use up their PGB before applying for a travel or conference grant from CLCG.
Requests for financial support of the organisation of academic meetings by CLCG staff can be sent to clcg@rug.nl. Please send these requests at least 6 weeks before the event takes place.

The academic meeting should take place in Groningen.

If the goal of the academic meeting is to prepare an application for a research grant, then financial support can be provided by the Board of the Faculty. Please contact the faculty funding officer for more information.
The maximum grant for a one-day meeting is max. €1000, and the maximum grant for a meeting of two days or more is €2000.
For workshops related to PhD defenses, the CLCG normally contributes €500.

To qualify for the maximal contribution to your event, the event has to have:
Colleagues accepting a conference subsidy are asked (i) to acknowledge the CLCG's support on announcements, websites and programs; (ii) to announce the event (a) on CLCG's events calendar as early as possible (but within two weeks of receiving a note confirming the subsidy) and (b) on the LOT list and other appropriate fora; and (iii) to submit a brief report on the event later noting highlights if any, and the general attendance as well as attendance by CLCG members. |
