Prof. Paris Avgeriou acquires 4.5 million grant for sustainable software-intensive systems

Prof. Paris Avgeriou (Bernoulli Institute) has acquired a EUR 4.5 million grant within the ITEA program, entitled Managing Sustainability Tradeoffs (MAST). This project will deal with the complex engineering trade-offs involved in optimizing both environmental and technical sustainability and will apply its results in cyber-physical systems and (green) cloud computing. Avgeriou initiated the project idea and acts as the coordinator of the ITEA project. Avgeriou will work with his long-standing partner, Canon Production Printing, alongside two Dutch SMEs and partners from Denmark and Portugal.
