Bernoulli Symposium afterword

On 1 Nov. the Bernoulli Institute celebrated with an Opening Symposium its establishment as one of the largest at the Faculty of Science and Engineering, combining the unique expertise in mathematics, computer science and artificial intelligence in Groningen. 200 participants from the University of Groningen, Leiden University, Utrecht University, the Osaka University European Center for Academic Initiatives, University of Twente, Eindhoven University of Technology, TNO, NWO, and various companies networked, discussed the posters and interdisciplinary projects of Bernoulli research groups and were fully engaged in four captivating talks by our guests: Dr. Daniel Gebler (Picnic online supermarket, Netherlands), Prof. dr. Mark Roberts (Univ. of Surrey, United Kingdom), Prof. dr. Antal van den Bosch (Radboud University, Meertens Institute, Netherlands) and Prof. dr. Catuscia Palamidessi (INRIA, École Polytechnique, France). We would like to thank you for making this event a success!
