Title: Variability Management based Adaptive Service Compositions: A Methodology and Supporting Platform
Abstract:
Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) is a popular distributed application development paradigm, which provides a perfect solution for data, application and system integration in the distributed, dynamic and heterogeneous environments. Within this context, it is promising to realize vertical and convergent service compositions for quickly changed requirements and dynamic runtime environments. This has been considered as one of dreams for software development. In this talk, we report our research group’s efforts and progress toward this dream in past ten years. In particular, we mainly focus on a variability management based adaptive service composition methodology and its supporting platform. The methodology includes a framework, a modeling profile, and an implementation language, while the supporting platform is an integration of analysis, design, engine, and management tools. Our research efforts have produced tens of publications, registered fifteen software copyrights, filed three Chinese patents, and owned two national software prototype awards.
