Inga Beck
Inga Beck (Germany) studied physical Geography at the University of Munich and did her PhD about permafrost in Northern Quebec, Canada. Afterwards she was employed by the Alfred-Wegener Institute for polar and marine research as executive director for the international permafrost association. In the following she was involved in different Post-Doc projects with studies in the Arctic regions.
Since many years her focus is on science communication and education, as well as on the organization of projects. Inga also represents SCAR as co-chair at the Research Priority Topic 6 of ICARP IV.
Inga currently works for SCAR and is mainly responsible for the EDI AG where she also serves as the representative of SCAR CBET. Furthermore she works for the Alexander Haumann (WG Alexander Haumann - Department of Geography - LMU München) supporting his research activities about the Southern Ocean.
