Accomodation in Longyearbyen

  • There are many different hotels and hostels. The cheaper ones (coalminers cabin and Gjestehuset 102) are located higher up in the valley, about 2,5-5 km walk from UNIS, were our seminar on 22 of July will take place.

  • Campground - it is possible to rent a tent, sleeping bag and insulation mat. The camping is located next to the airport and about 5 km from the town of Longyearbyen.
  • Book your accomodation in time. Some hotels are already fully booked.
  • Please be careful that you do not book a room in Barentsburg. These option sometimes come up when using booking.com or simular booking sites.
