Kinya Fujita - Estimation of "interruptibility" of office workers and management of interruptions

Increase of interruptions by information systems such as email notifications in addition to conventional ones such as phone calls is a serious problem in modern offices. Interruptions disrupt workers and fragment the working time, then the work efficiency is degraded. To manage the interruptions to be conducted at adequate moments, we have developed an "interruptibility" estimation method based on PC operation activity, especially switching of application software. I would like to introduce our estimation method and the extension of the method to reflect the attitude of the worker and social activity. I would like also to introduce two application systems such as email delivery mediation system and remote sharing system.
