How our study advisers can help you

Our study advisers assist with a wide range of topics, including:

  • Study choice and academic progress
  • Study planning and options for delays or additional course units (e.g., study abroad, extra courses, GIED, or internships)
  • Challenges with starting or continuing your studies
  • Study skills development
  • Exploring extra facilities and resources
  • Managing illness or mental health concerns affecting your studies
  • Navigating personal circumstances (e.g., divorce, bereavement, family illness)
  • Any other questions related to your study programme


The study advisers also help arrange for the Faculty to consider personal situations that may impact your studies and guide you to other University resources.
