Marc Wever

Marc Wever (Groningen,1989) works for the department of Constitutional Law, Administrative Law & Public Administration. In 2019 he completed his PhD thesis, a quantitative study focussed on the experiences of professional legal representatives in de administrative objection procedure.

Marc’s main research interests are the functioning of dispute resolution procedures and in particular the ‘fit’ between the nature of disputes and the organization of procedures. His primary area of expertise is the combination of traditional legal research methods with the use of quantitative research methods. Marc also teaches several courses in general administrative law and public administration, including a course teaching law- and public administration students the use of social sciences methods. In addition to his work for the University of Groningen, Marc is a (junior) editor for the Dutch Journal of Administrative Law (Nederlands tijdschrift voor bestuursrecht), secretary for the Association for Public Administration (Vereniging voor Bestuurskunde, kring Noord) and a member of two objection procedure advisory committees in the northern part of the Netherlands.
