Delegation from Macquarie University visits Faculty of Law
On 6 and 7 June, the Faculty of Law at the University of Groningen hosted a delegation from the Arts Faculty of Macquarie University (which also houses the Law branch at that university). The delegation included Prof. Chris Dixon (Executive Dean), Prof. Sarah Sorial (Assistant Dean for Research Training and Presentation) and Prof. Louise D'Arcens (Deputy Dean for Research and Innovation).
The focus of the strategic partnership between the UG and Macquarie University is on joint doctorates. Jouke de Vries, president of the UG Executive Board, traveled to Macquarie in March 2024 to discuss this topic. The conversation continued during the visit last week, with the goal of starting to facilitate actual collaborations between researchers from both faculties. Possibilities for staff exchange and student exchange were also discussed.
