GUF-100 award for Arasj Khodadade Jahrome
During the Summer Ceremony on 1st July, the GUF-100 awards were presented to outstanding students of the University of Groningen. This award is given annually by the GUF to the best student of each faculty. Within the Faculty of Law, this year's GUF-100 award went to Arasj Khodadade Jahrome. We would like to congratulate Arasj on this honourable award!
Arasj Khodadade Jahrome is following the bachelor's programme in Law, majoring in IT Law, and is among the best students of the faculty in terms of grades. He participated in the Honours College and in addition to his studies he works as a law assistant with De Brauw Blackstone Westbroek in Amsterdam. Arasj is pursuing a wonderful academic career, which demonstrates great perseverance.
Summer Ceremony
The annual Summer Ceremony officially marks the end of the academic year. This is a ceremonial session with a festive and closed character.
During this session, the following award ceremonies took place:
- The GUF-100 awards ceremony and the best UG student award ceremony (annual).
- Gratama Science Award ceremony (biannual)
- Wierenga Rengerink PhD Prize ceremony (annual)
GUF-100 awards
The GUF-100 awards for outstanding students were introduced in 1993 to mark the 100th anniversary of the GUF. The award consists of a one-time scholarship of €2500 to be spent on study or research and is given to the most excellent student of each faculty.
