Public Lecture: German and Dutch Approaches to Effective Consumer Protection

This lecture discusses how the Netherlands and Germany deal with the influence of EU consumer law on their national legal systems.
The lecture will pay attention to aspects such as the extent to which national legal systems open themselves to EU legal logics, the safeguarding of effective legal remedies in cases of violations of consumer protection, and the willingness to engage in dialogue with the Court of Justice of the European Union (for example through preliminary references).
