New online course: ‘Successful PhD Supervision: A Shared Journey’

Are you supervising PhD candidates and do you want to improve your skills in this challenging role? Try the new online course ‘ Successful PhD Supervision: A Shared Journey ’. As of today, this brand-new course, developed by the University of Groningen (UG) and the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), is available on FutureLearn !

With this course, you can improve the skills you need for the important and challenging role of supervisor, mentor, and coach of PhD candidates, no matter if you are new to this role, or you have already experience. During the course, you will further develop mentoring skills and strategies, which will help you to support, inspire, and guide your candidate towards success. You will learn what your role is in the shared journey of PhD supervision, explore what it means to take a person-centred approach, and discover how to become a role model for your candidate.
