Ben Feringa himself to present 2023 Ben Feringa Impact Awards in Groninger Forum
This year's edition of the annual Ben Feringa Impact Awards, awarded by the UG to encourage recognition and rewards for impact-driven research, will take place on 25 May. The awards will be presented to the winning researchers and students by Ben Feringa himself.
The faculties could nominate researchers and students for the award until the end of last year.

Programme
The afternoon programme will be chaired by Marie-José van Tol, Professor of Mood & Cognition at the UG. President of the Board of the University Jouke de Vries will welcome the invitees, after which Anne-Wil Lucas, the Chair of the jury, will present the jury report, and Ben Feringa will present the awards to the winners. Heino Falcke, astronomer and founder of the Event Horizon Telescope Consortium, which was the first to capture a photograph of ‘the black hole’, will provide an intermezzo. The afternoon will be rounded off with a drinks party.
Registration
There are still a few places available. You are warmly invited to attend the awards ceremony on Thursday 25 May. The doors will open at 2.45 p.m., the programme will start at 3.15 p.m., and drinks will be served from 4.45 p.m.
