In 2022, the UG was given nine new portraits. At the initiative of the Board of the University and the Faculties, three of the professor portraits were added to the Senate Room for their exceptional achievements in their fields: Prof. H. C. (Herman) Wekker, Prof. E. G. E. (Liesbeth) de Vries and Prof. P. (Petra) Rudolf. The Faculty of Law donated the portrait of Prof. P. C. (Pauline) Westerman to the UG, which will be displayed in the Law Faculty Room.

In addition to that, five professors donated their own portrait to the UG. Their portraits will be displayed in the Faculty Rooms of Medical Sciences, Arts, Economics and Business, Behavioural and Social Sciences, and Theology and Religious Studies.
