'Bestuursgebouw' is empty for the start of the renovation [VIDEO and PHOTOS]

The plans for the renovation have been drawn up and the staff of The Bureau of the University of Groningen have vacated their offices in the buildings on Oude Boteringestraat 42-46. As the final project of the renewal of the office space in the entire Academy Complex, the monumental buildings of the Bestuursgebouw (administration building) are next.

On 3 May 2022, a delegation of staff members accompanied by architect Bert Staal and UG project leader Walter Timmermans were able to go through the buildings one more time. They were able to see the monumental elements that will be restored and hear about solutions that will improve the working environment, such as more daylight, ventilation and a more logical layout and routing.
