Video lecture Simon Friederich on quantum physics (as part of the Universiteit van Nederland)
Quantum theory forms the foundation of modern physics. It can be seen as the blueprint on which all the more specific theories of fundamental physics are built. In addition, it gives structure to what we can measure and observe.
In this video lecture from the University of the Netherlands, science philosopher Simon Friederich explains why quantum theory works so well, but also explains why no one really understands it. In the end, perhaps precisely because even natural scientists can't really figure out how quantum particles behave in every situation, quantum physics is an interesting topic to look at through the lens of the philosophy of science.
Universiteit van Nederland
