European Researchers’ Night 2021
Who actually decides what you eat? You yourself? And do you want to know how often your neighbours eat chocolate, fruit, or pizza? You can find out answers to these and other questions during the European Researchers’ Night 2021, organized with a European subsidy by the Aletta Jacobs School of Public Health (AJSPH). The aim of this Night is to bring researchers closer to a broad public. Two activities will be available to visitors: De Grote Groninger Eetquiz (‘The Great Groningen Food Quiz’) and Schep maar op! (‘Dish it out!’).

Aletta’s Kitchen: De Grote Groninger Eetquiz
24 September 2021, 8–9 p.m., Forum Groningen
In De Grote Groningen Eetquiz, four teams from various neighbourhoods in Groningen will go head-to-head in a whirling game show full of amazing scientific facts on your daily bread. You will learn about the tricks that supermarkets and clever marketers use to make sure that you throw that extra packet of cookies in your shopping trolley, and about what the evening meals of various Groningen residents look like.
The winning team will have the chance to win a healthy breakfast and a masterclass in the FC Groningen football stadium! Come to cheer on the teams, try historic dishes, and enjoy a show full of surprising facts and discoveries, fun, and music!
Schep maar op!
