Jouke de Vries holds first Binnenhof lecture
President of the Board of the University, Jouke de Vries, has been asked to hold the first Binnenhof lecture. He will do so next week, on Wednesday 7 July at 5 p.m., in the ballroom of Paleis Lange Voorhout in The Hague. In his lecture, Jouke de Vries will discuss polarization, fragmentation and paralysis in Dutch politics. His lecture can be followed directly via: binnenhoflezing.nl.
Politicians in The Hague discuss power and counter forces. In his lecture, Jouke de Vries will delve into what exactly is at play here: which structural developments can best explain political developments in the Netherlands? As a political scientist, Jouke has published research on topics including the Den Uyl Cabinet, the ‘Purple’ Cabinets and the Fortuyn revolt.
