Viewing tip: Jouke de Vries in the documentary ‘Go North, young man!’

09 April 2021

This weekend, President of the Board of the University Jouke de Vries appeared in a documentary that was broadcast on NPO2. ‘Go North, young man!’ is about ambitious young people from Friesland. How can they help to develop rural areas? And how can they go about finding a good job?

Young people are exactly the right people to drive innovation and development in the region, says De Vries. In the documentary, he talks about the University of the North and cites a few good examples of innovation, such as Innovation Cluster Drachten.

The documentary is in Frisian with Dutch subtitles and can be viewed via the NPO website.
