Panel on "Cascading disasters: how to design resilient crisis-management institutions and organizations?" accepted at NEEDS 21
A panel on "Cascading disasters: how to design resilient crisis-management institutions and organizations?" has been accepted at the fifth edition of the Northern European Conference on Emergency and Disaster Studies (NEEDS), hosted by Mid Sweden University and organized by the Risk and Crisis Research Centre 21–23 September 2021. The panel is organized by Dr. Francesca Giardini (BSS- Sociology) and Dr. Clara Egger (Arts- International Relations) and the panel's participants will engage with the topic of organizational and institutional preparedness for cascading disasters. Panels are thematic sessions and we welcome papers from different disciplines (sociology, political science, psychology, economics, public administration, history, philosophy) and perspectives that will discuss this issue. The panel welcomes diverse methodological approaches, including simulation, comparative or single case studies or experiments. Submission opens March 29.
