Appeal from the Mayor of Groningen and update Travel information
Stick to the coronavirus measures
There has been an increase, over the last few days, in the number of coronavirus cases in the Netherlands and in Groningen. With the start of the new academic year fast approaching, Koen Schuiling, Mayor of Groningen and chairman of the Groningen Safety Region (Veiligheidsregio Groningen), has made an appeal to all students in the city to observe the national and local rules in order to prevent the further spread of the virus. Travelling to the Netherlands from abroad
The Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs has provided guidance to those travelling to the Netherlands from countries with an orange or red travel advisory - even if it was for a holiday. Those concerned are strongly advised to go into self-quarantine for 14 days immediately after returning to the Netherlands. Check the Travel advice from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the latest travel advice.
