NWO START-UP Grant Marcos Guimarães

The NWO has awarded Marcos Guimarães a START-UP Grant for his project 'Controlling spins through symmetry in two dimensions'.

The researchers will engineer and manipulate the symmetries of two-dimensional materials to control their magnetic and spintronic properties. These properties will then be measured using a combination of electrical and optical techniques.
