Work on embankment Reitdiep along Zernike cycle route

For high water situations, Water Authority Noorderzijlvest will heighten the embankment along the east side of the Reitdiep. Between the railway bridge (ACM bridge) and Pleiadenlaan, the quay will be raised by approximately 40 cm. The project starts 25 March and during the work the adjacent cycle path, the Zernike route, is temporarily closed. Diversion routes are indicated.

Planning

Contractor Oosterhof Holman will perform this work. It is planned that preparatory work will start on Monday 25 March 2019. The work will take approximately 6 weeks depending on the weather conditions. The project is expected to be completed the 2nd week of May.
