Three UG professors nominated for Woman in the Media Award

Three UG professors are competing for the 2018 Vrouw in de Media Award [Woman in the Media Award]. Stynke Castelein, Janka Stoker and Iris Vis have been nominated for the prize for their visibility as role models in regional and local media.

Castelein, Stoker, Vis and seven other women have been nominated for the province of Groningen. The three professors conduct research in a variety of fields: Castelein is professor by special appointment of Recovery from Severe Mental Illness, Stoker is professor of Leadership and Organizational Change, and Vis is professor of Industrial Engineering.

The regional award winners, one for each province, will be announced in the first week of February, followed by the national award ceremony on 11 February. The voting procedure for both regional and national nominees is open until 31 January. N.B. you may only vote for one province.
