Holland Scholarships presented to incoming and outgoing students
On Thursday 30 August, the University of Groningen (UG) officially awarded the Holland Scholarships. For this prestigious scholarship were 36 incoming candidates from 19 different countries outside EU/EEA and 34 outgoing UG students selected. On behalf of the Board of UG, the Head of International Strategy and Relations, Mr. Paul Bolt handed out the certificates to the candidates during a special ceremony in the Academy Building.

Holland Scholarship
The Holland Scholarship is a grant awarded by The Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science and the respective Higher Education institutions in Holland. The grant is intended for international students from outside the European Economic Area (EEA) who come to the Netherlands to follow a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree programme. Grants are also available for Dutch students who are going abroad to study.
This was the fourth year the Holland Scholarships were awarded. A new round will by organized for the Academic year 2019 – 2020.
