Eddo Hartmann and the love of nature
Photographer Eddo Hartmann has been commissioned by the UG to capture the research groups of Han Olff, Theunis Piersma and Henk Folmer on film this summer for the Noorderlicht International Photography Festival. The three researchers each investigate the often ambiguous relationship between humans and nature from the standpoint of their own scientific discipline.
The photos below come from the Collective Landscape series that will be on display at the Norderlicht International Photography Festival 'IN VIVO – The nature of nature', from 23 June – 23 September in Museum Belvédère in Heerenveen. Also in collaboration with Noorderlicht, an exhibition in Leeuwarden will follow in September, partly within the framework of the Groningen Embassy, the Groningen contribution to the Cultural Capital of Europe.
