On Thursday 21, 2018, our colleague Jolien Mouw succesfully defended her PhD thesis “Stepping in another’s shoes: The role of primary-school students’ perspective-taking abilities during cooperative learning” in the Academy Building of Leiden University. Since February 1, 2018, Jolien works as an assistant professor at the Department of Educational Science at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen. Here, she continues her research into cooperative learning, this time in the context of supporting GMW faculty staff in the design and implementation of activating teaching methods.
