University Council given right of consent to definitive Yantai decision

The Board of the University (CvB) has granted the University Council the right of consent to the definitive decision to found a branch campus in Yantai. This has been agreed between the two parties. The CvB attaches great value to grassroots support for the Yantai campus, and has thus decided to convert the right to prior consultation held by the University Council into the right of consent. The CvB and the University Council have informed the Minister of Education, Culture and Science in a joint statement (in Dutch) about this decision.
