University of Groningen Annual Report achieves high score in Transparency benchmark
On 17 November 2016, the scores for the Transparency benchmark (TBM) of the Ministry for Economic Affairs were announced. The TBM is an annual survey of the content and quality of social reporting in (major) Dutch enterprises. The ‘University of Groningen Annual Report 2015’ attained second place in the universities category.
By sending in their annual reports, enterprises compete for the Kristal prize. This year, the prize went to Alliander energy network; Schiphol and NS were second and third respectively. The University of Groningen came joint 102nd on the total ranking list, scoring 130 points. Fifteen universities took part in the TBM. Wageningen UR topped the university ranking list with 166 points.
The UMCG was the fastest climber in the Transparency benchmark 2016, climbing 118 positions from 197 th to 79 th .
