JPI-AMR grant for new antibiotics
Prof. Jan Willem Veening of the Molecular Genetics group (Groningen Biomolecular Sciences and Biotechnology Institute, GBB) has received EUR 250,000 within the framework of the Joint Programme Initiative on Antimicrobial Resistance (JPI-AMR) for developing new combinations of potent antibiotics against pathogens like Streptococcus pneumoniae (pneumococcus).
