Hat trick for Hanan Al-Kutubi, PhD in Pharmaceutical Analysis

Hanan Al-Kutubi who joined the Pharmaceutical Analysis research group of GRIP in April this year to pursue her PhD-thesis recently was awarded three times for her master’s research.

On 26 November Hanan was awarded TU Delft’s Best Graduate for the 2014-2015 . She graduated cum laude with a 10 for her Master’s thesis, making her the first Chemical Engineering student since 2005 to earn this final mark. She has already published the findings of her graduation research in three peer-reviewed journals.

The Graduate of the Year title was the second honour bestowed upon Hanan within a short time: on 30 November she received the AkzoNobel Award for Chemistry and Process Technology .

Additionally, on 3 December Hanan was awarded as winner of the Unilever research prize 2015. The aim of this prize is to promote scientific research. The award comes with a prize of 2500 euros.

At GRIP Hanan will research nanofluidic devices exploring novel ways of electrochemical and optical sensing.
