From Mayor Den Oudsten to all citizens of Groningen: ‘Come to the Grote Markt this evening’
Mayor Peter den Oudsten of the city of Groningen is calling on all citizens to come to the Grote Markt at 6 p.m. this evening to join a vigil in response to the massacre in Paris. Solidarity with the victims and freedom of speech will be the main themes.
King’s Commissioner Max van den Berg will be attending. In addition to Mayor Peter den Oudsten, speeches will be given by a representative of Groningen City Council and by Pieter Sijpersma, editor-in-chief of the Dagblad van het Noorden.
