University and University Library closed Thursday 28 August

26 August 2014

The University of Groningen and the University Library will be closed on 28 August in honour of Groningen Liberation Day. The University Student Desk and the International Service Desk in the Academy Building will be open, though.

Every year on 28 August, the city of Groningen and its inhabitants celebrate its liberation in 1672. Liberation Day is also known as ‘Bommen Berend’.
