University of Groningen alumni in demand throughout the world
A degree from the University of Groningen opens doors to the international employment market. This is evident from the Global Employability Survey published last week in the New York Times.
Several thousand HR officers and company managers in twenty countries were asked what they looked for when appointing recent graduates, and which universities supplied the most ideal young candidates. The employability of University of Groningen alumni turned out to be high throughout the world. The University of Groningen secured 83rd place in the 2013 rankings, making it the second Dutch university in this list of the top 150 universities in America, Asia and Europe after Eindhoven University of Technology.
President of the Board of the University Sibrand Poppema is delighted with the result. ‘This is the biggest compliment a university can get. Our programmes are giving young, talented people promising opportunities on the global employment market. We have achieved an inordinately high score among the traditional top universities in America and England. This affirms our international reputation and I am exceptionally proud!’
