No new legionella bacteria in Research Lab
Preventive investigation in the Research Lab this weekend has found no new legionella infection.
Last Friday, during a routine check, the mild variant of the legionella bacterium was found in a washbasin in the RUG/UMCG Research Lab. Cultures were immediately taken from around the washbasin to be on the safe side, and results show that no legionella bacteria were found. The washbasin and the pipes will be adapted.
